Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DanCueDigital LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use PixVend.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — name, email address, password (hashed), store name, bio.
  • Payment information — processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Content — photos you upload, gallery names, pricing, watermark settings.
  • Communications — support requests, feedback.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, timestamps.
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, screen resolution.
  • IP address — used for security, analytics, and approximate geolocation.
  • Cookies — see our Cookie Policy.

Face recognition data (Find My Photos)

  • When a Seller enables Find My Photos, we generate face embeddings (mathematical vectors) from uploaded photos using on-premise AI models.
  • Embeddings are numerical representations, not photos of faces. They cannot be reverse-engineered into images.
  • Buyer selfie uploads for face search are processed in real-time and not stored permanently.
  • All face data is stored on our own servers, not sent to third-party cloud services.
  • Face data is deleted when the associated photos are deleted or the Seller disables the feature.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate and maintain the Platform.
  • Process payments and payouts via Stripe.
  • Generate thumbnails, watermarks, and display versions of your photos.
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmations, download links, payout notifications).
  • Provide customer support.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Improve the Platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Stripe — payment processing, seller onboarding, tax reporting (1099-K).
  • Prodigi — print fulfillment (buyer shipping address and order details for print orders only).
  • Cloudflare — CDN delivery, DDoS protection (photos and page content pass through Cloudflare’s network).
  • Law enforcement — when required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order).

4. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is stored on our own infrastructure in the United States (not third-party cloud services).
  • Photos are stored on dedicated storage servers with redundant disks.
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies.
  • All connections use TLS 1.2+ encryption.
  • We implement rate limiting, input validation, and other security measures to protect against common attacks.

5. Data Retention

  • Active accounts — data retained as long as your account is active.
  • Deleted content — removed from our servers within 30 days. CDN edge caches may persist up to 90 days.
  • Closed accounts — all personal data and content deleted within 30 days of account closure, except transaction records retained for tax/legal purposes (7 years).
  • Backups — rotated on a 30-day cycle.

6. Your Rights

All users

  • Access — view your data in your dashboard at any time.
  • Export — download all your photos and data via the Data Export feature.
  • Deletion — close your account from your dashboard to trigger data deletion.
  • Correction — update your information from your dashboard.
